Therapeutic Yoga bridges the gap between physiotherapy rehabilitation and a full yoga practice. It's not a generic “gentle yoga” class — it's a personalised, evidence-based program designed by a qualified physiotherapist who is also a trained yoga instructor.

Why Therapeutic Yoga Matters

As a physiotherapist and yoga instructor, I've seen it too many times: someone gets injured, steps away from yoga “just for a few weeks,” and never comes back. Not because they don't want to — but because they don't know how to return safely.

Standard yoga classes aren't designed for people recovering from injuries. And standard physio doesn't always understand what it means to lose a practice that was deeply part of your identity and wellbeing.

That's why I created Therapeutic Yoga at Jiva Health — to be the bridge. To take the clinical rigour of physiotherapy assessment and treatment, and combine it with the wisdom and healing power of authentic yoga.
